David Suissa has always been evolving in the world of luxury and very high quality products.
Before his career in the wine world, he contributed to the development of fashion designers men’s tailoring like Kenzo, Francesco Smalto and Corneliani, who left a mark on the history of “haute couture” in France. It is his real passion and his very significant experience that he shares and uses to create his wines.

David found a company specialized in the production and retailing of kosher ‘grands crus’

Only coming from prestigious and world-renowned domain in Bordeaux Region, among which : Château Smith Haut Lafitte from Pessac Leognan area, Château Lafon Rochet from Saint Estèphe area, Château Rauzan Gassies from Margaux area.
Since 1999, this company has been retailing those references to the Jewish customer’s elite all over the world, mainly in France, in the United States, in Panama, in England, in Switzerland and in Brazil.

After the creation of the company

“Les Vins IDS”, specialist in the production of Grand Crus and Prestige cuvees in Bordeaux region, David SUISSA, still looking for new experiences, has set new challenges: exploring new latitudes, new microclimates, new terroirs, and new varieties of grapes. Because of its vines of ancestral reputation, Israel emerged as evident.

That’s how this ambitious project was born:

Creating and branding under EPHOD Winery a range of Israeli wines whose vineyards are implemented at the edge of the Desert of Judah, Galil Elyone and Ramat Hagolan. These terroirs yield very complex, elegant and authentic wines.
Divided in 3 distinct groups of products:

Pleasure Wines: built around a great TAL Rosé coming from noble grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is more likely to offer conviviality, to be drunk chilled.
Flag ship Wines : under the name of GESHER, KETER and REGESH, coming from noble grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Those wines are very pleasant wine, aged in oak barrels, full of complexity but very round, soft and elegant.
“Prestige Cuvee”: under the name of EBIATAR, coming from noble grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and very matured Petit Verdot. This wine is oak-aged 18 months inside 100% new french barrels, tannic and well structured is gratified with an exceptional balance, concentration and complexity.

The wine benefits from a ton of indisputable details and numerous experiments that have been carried out along the centuries and that are still executed today through experimentation, science and technicality. David Suissa
